Tea estate worker found dead in mysterious circumstance in Nilgiris

UDHAGAMANDALAM: A 42-year-old worker at a tea estate was found dead in a mysterious circumstance in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu on late Tuesday night.
K Bhuvaneshwaran, a worker at the Rockwood Estate near Nelakottai, left for home after work on Tuesday evening. Later, passersby saw his dead body lying on the road a few kilometers away from the estate.
There was an injury near his right ear. Locals, who suspected that it was a case a wild animal attack, alerted the forest department.
The Nelakottai police registered a case. A postmortem was performed on the body at the government hospital in Gudalur.
The police said the cause of his death would be known only after the postmortem report is available. The report is expected to come in a week.
